Policy

The mission of IIGCC’s Policy programme is to develop and communicate investor positions on policy and regulatory frameworks at international, regional and national level to support a shift in favour of less carbon-intensive investment.

Investors are concerned both about the impact of climate change on investments as well as taking advantage of the opportunities from green growth. One of IIGCC’s twin objectives is to change market signals by encouraging the adoption of investment-grade public policy solutions that support an orderly and efficient move to a low carbon economy.

  • MSCI Webinar: COP21 Dissected - What The Outcomes May Mean For Insitutional Investors

  • OECD, IIGCC and ERAFP High-level breakfast - Institutional investors and the low carbon transition

    In this defining year for climate change policy and low-carbon investment, and in the margins of the final week of COP 21, OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría, CEO of ERAFP Philippe Desfossés and Chairman of the IIGCC Donald MacDonald will welcome senior government officials and CEOs of institutional investors and financiers for a targeted discussion under the Chatham House Rule.
